Mixed Media Meister

My 3D work makes visible the connections between the viewer and the natural world. My 3D artwork is often made to be placed in settings that interact with nature and mirror an ever-expanding, transitioning, and globalizing world where cultural synchronization is constant. I primarily work in ceramics, plaster, resin, and assemblage to create three-dimensional, folk-centric pieces that challenge antiquated notions of what art is through my non-conventional utilization of mixed media. My work is influenced by medieval art, folklore, realistic figurative works, postmodern art, and the strange beauty in everyday life.
